On October 4, 2023, Professor John P. A. Ioannidis and his team at Stanford University released the 6th edition of the World’s Top 2% Scientists. They selected nearly 200,000 scientists from over 7 million worldwide, representing the top 2% across various fields. The list encompasses 22 main fields and 176 sub-disciplines. The rankings include the "Lifetime Scientific Impact Rankings (1960-2022)" and the "2022 Annual Scientific Impact Rankings".

A total of 26 scholars from our college have been included in the World’s Top 2% Scientists, with 8 scholars concurrently making it to both the "Lifetime Scientific Impact Rankings" and the "2022 Annual Scientific Impact Rankings".

The 8 scholars in the "Lifetime Scientific Impact Rankings" include Han Zhang, Yiping Wang, Chaohong Li, Xiang Peng, Qifeng Yu, Junle Qu, Changrui Liao, and Peiguang Yan. This number has increased by 2 compared to last year.

Among all colleges and schools across the university, our college has the highest number of scholars selected in the "2022 Annual Scientific Impact Rankings".
